Our wooden fully insulated double glazed snug & warm Travel Pod is easily towed by a small car (such as a Fiesta, Ibiza, Polo, Mini etc) thanks to the maximum weight of 550Kg. Perhaps even a trike could pull our pod? The 12V solar system will keep your power constantly flowing. Our pods are designed to fill the gap between camping and caravanning. It will suit someone looking for a trailer to carry camping equipment, who wants to camp in 3 seasons or have a campervan but want a permanent bedroom (no more setting the bed up at the end of the evening). Our pods have up to 3 types of insulation providing a cosy warm sleeping space. The sleeping area is 2m long and 1.16m wide. The external dimensions of the pod are 2.5m long by 1.3m wide and 1.3m high. The Pod is removable so is available without the trailer for £3,500. This also means that you can remove the pod, reassemble the trailer and use it as a 2.1m x 1.2m trailer, bonus!

We take bespoke orders so you can customise all the specifications, i.e. the size and number of windows, the paint colour or maybe you want a raised bed with permanent storage and a slide out gas burner etc - the options are endless. The price for the pictured standard Pod includes all the options listed below.

Our standard Travel Pod includes the following brand new items: 

• 1 x Bateson 520 2.1m x 1.2m trailer (as pictured, it has the drop down sides, drop down rear and a fixed front wall) Comes with a trailer birth certificate and compliance certificate
• 1 x Dometic Micro Heki double glazed Rooflight
• 1 x Dometic side Seitz S4 double glazed hinged window 700 x 400 mm (offside) with built in fly screen and insulated blind
• 1 x Dometic side Seitz S4 double glazed hinged window 500 x 540 mm (door, nearside) with built in fly screen and insulated blind
• 1 x 25W 12V 10A Solar Panel Kit with Lithium Battery Charge Controller (with one additional USB socket). This easily keeps your battery topped up while away.
• 8 x 12V LED internal lighting main lights. Enough to illuminate the whole pod interior
• 2 x 12V LED internal side lights (one each side with separate switches, so you both have your own night light)
• 1 x External 100W 12V LED Floodlight. To help illuminate the camp at clear away bed time
• 2 x USB 3.0 charging sockets with battery voltage display and on off switch
• 2 x mobile phone charging dock station. Keeps you devices safely stored while charging
• 1 x 50AH Leisure deep cycle battery. Lots of energy on demand.
• 1 x Caraloc 2000 Locking door handle with two keys (lockable from the inside without key) Keep your valuables safe when away from camp and lock the world out when inside.
• 1 x Storage Cargo netting 1m x 1m to keep your camping furniture secure while travelling
• 1 x Heavy duty wheel clamp antitheft device with 2 x keys
• 2 x large elasticated netting side pouches 450mm x 220mm
• 1 x Medium elasticated netting side pouch 252mm x 120mm
• 3mm 1m x 2m protective anti slip matting to protect the pod floor and prevent bed slippage.
• 2 x small storage areas under the seat next to the electrical storage.
• Roof is sealed with a layer of NDC 1000 Gauge Black Damp Proof Membrane and bitumen below the outer tongue and groove layer
• 1 x Cover made from WATERPROOF Canvas Fabric Heavy Duty 20oz thick. This will help protect your pod when not in use, especially over winter.
• Painted inside and out using Valspar 15yr guaranteed Satin Exterior Metal & Wood Paint, with UV, mould, weather and crack resistance. 
• Interior walls and floor are varnished with Extra Durable floor varnish
• The roof is finished with two coats of Ronseal Yacht Varnish
• The floor is triple insulated with 25mm polystyrene, 20mm fire resistant fluffy insulation and reflective foil Bubble insulation. The walls have 25mm polystyrene insulation and the roof has 25mm polystyrene and reflective foil insulation. 
• The maximum total MAX weight including your camping gear is 550Kg. The empty standard pod weighs approximately 300Kg to 350Kg (not yet confirmed by weigh station) so you can easily carry 200Kg to 250Kg of camping gear, more than enough for most of us!

We can fully customise your pod for your needs, paint colour, bigger, smaller or less windows, no problem. Want a fold or slide out kitchen, no problem. Please ask us about your needs and we can probably help you with estimated costs. As these are handmade to order a 50% deposit is required to secure your position in our production queue. Pods take 4 to 6 weeks (depending on delivery times for items like the trailer and windows). Be quick before our slots fill up, summer is coming fast (hopefully)

We can arrange for your Travel Pod to be delivered but we will need your address to calculate a delivery fee. Otherwise these are for collection from Northallerton, North Yorkshire once full payment has cleared.

We guarantee the pod for 3 years against general wear tear. The trailer guarantee is from the manufacturer Bateson.

We are also developing a larger prototype XL version (approximately 2.8m x 1.6m x 1.6m and £8,000 - £9,000). This has a raised bed, toilet and storage cupboard, slide out 3 plate gas burner and a permanent large storage area. Please ask for more details.
